406-F & 406-D-F Medevac IIA Break-Apart Litters, Stainless Steel with Flotation Kit
LSC#406-F
The Medevac IIA is the break-apart model of the Medevac II series, the most widely used helicopter rescue litter, standard equipment aboard all US Coast Guard helicopters and rescue boats and in use with all branches of the US Military. The break-apart frame occupies approximately half the stowage space of rigid litters, with stainless steel screw-couplers and self-aligning pins securing the top tubes; when assembled it is as robust as the rigid Medevac II, proof load tested to 2,600 lbs with no yield. It is a modern Stokes-type litter constructed for long life in the marine environment.
