The 496 basket is specifically designed for hoisting through the floor hatch of the CH-47 Chinook helicopter using the internal winch. Constructed of tubular stainless steel, the simple design is easily maintained and handled. A removable flotation collar provides reserve buoyancy and self-righting characteristics.
