The PEP Bag is a lightweight, hoistable extrication device for the rapid hoist or short-haul extraction of non-ambulatory patients, used in conjunction with a standard long or folding spine board. Constructed of 1050 denier ballistic nylon with a Kevlar-reinforced bottom and mil-spec webbing, it can be hoisted via double-lift in tandem with a rescuer or medic, or single-up. Features include a colour-coded internal adjustable securing strap system, head and foot backboard straps, oversized hoisting rings, SOLAS retro-reflective strips, multiple lifting handles and a removable modular face section.
