780-SRT Shock Reduction Tether (SRT)

Restraint tether built around a patented energy-absorbing sacrificial strap whose fibres begin to separate at approximately 700-800 lb, limiting the force experienced by restrained personnel to approximately 800 lb with a maximum extension of 18 inches. Constructed for the marine environment with MIL-SPEC webbing and stainless steel hardware, the design is self-indicating, exposing a warning label if subjected to an over-limit force. Designed for the Boat Gunner Restraint System and approved by the USCG Office of Boat Forces.
