495-L Helicopter Rescue Basket with Modified Lift Point

The 495-L has the same features and specifications as the 495, except its bail system has a modified lift point that reduces the clearance required to bring the basket into the helicopter door. The McCauley Collapsible Rescue Basket combines the compact storage of rescue nets with the ruggedness, rigidity, and safety of solid frame baskets, reducing storage volume by 55% compared to the Compact Rescue Basket (#499) — ideal for smaller helicopters where cabin space is at a premium. The US Army has approved the Lifesaving Systems Rescue Basket per the Airworthiness Release for Rescue Hoist Equipment on UH/HH-60 Helicopters (AWR 980).
